December's Chix Pix with be all things that GLITTER! That's right, if it sparkles it will be 20% off for the entire month of December! Prism, ArtYarns, Sidar, Universal, beads, and anything else that may shine. 

Beginning December 3 we will be open on Mondays only thru December.  We do this to allow you some extra uninterrupted knitting/crocheting time. We will be open from 11am until 4pm  December 3, 10, & 17. We offer a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere to get those last minute gifts completed, or a respite to get some much needed time for yourself during the bustle of the holiday season. 

On those special Mondays, we will be having what we are coining a Pay It Forward Sale. Mondays and Saturdays only in December, if you bring in 1 canned good you will get 15% off one skein. If you bring in 2 or more canned goods, you will get 20% off one skein. This is only applicable on Mondays and Saturdays through the month of December. We will take the canned goods we collect to Yokefellow Food Pantry at the beginning of January, 2019. 

We will close for the week of December 24th for the Christmas Holidays, and also on December 31 and January 1, 2019 for New Year's. We will re-open, Wednesday, January 2, 2019. We look forward to 2019 and hope you will join us as often as possible. ​

​Our Chix Pix for November is Cascade 220®.  These will be 20% off during the entire month of November. 220® is one of Cascade's most popular yarns. It is a natural fiber that is comes in a wide array of colors, weights, and wash-ability. From accessories and kids items, to blankets and quick knits, these are some perfect yarns! Now is the perfect time to stock up while our selection is good!

Hazel will be taking a much needed vacation from October 19 thru Oct. 27. She will be visiting her family in Maryland for part of the week. Meghan and Pat will be manning the shop during this time. They each will be choosing their own special sales while Hazel is away. It's a While the Cats Away, the Mice Will Play Sale! They will post on Facebook what their sales will be, so make sure you have liked the Chix with Stix page so you'll be in the loop, or stop by each day to see what they've picked. 

Helena, with Oink Pigments also had a great day when she was here for the trunk show. Their yarn is such a great quality with beautiful colors. Thank you for your support when we bring independent dyers in to share their wares. We hope to have more of these fun events in the future. 

Our wonderful store owner Hazel had a birthday Sept. 8th. The great customers that come to our Knitting/Crochet groups got together and decided to surprise her with a party, cake, and a few gift certificates to some of her favorite places. We would not be the shop we are without her generosity, kindness, and welcoming spirit. Here's to many, many more birthdays Hazel!

Look for us behind the TCBY, in the center of the shopping mall. Go through the double glass doors, and we are the first door on the right. 

The rumors are true!! We will be moving to a new location on Morganton Blvd. Watch for the next newsletter, website, and also our Facebook page for the exact address. Our last day open at the current location will be July 21, 2018. We will be closed the next two weeks, as we pack and move to the new location. We are planning to open at the new store by August 4. We are excited about this opportunity to expand our wonderful community, and with a bigger location we will be able to offer more room for more inventory, classes, and room at our table for friends. We think you are going to like the new shop, and all of the exciting surprises and things that we are planning; Pop up shops, trunk shows, new yarns, and much more. We are also happy to report that our new location will have excellent parking.

This year for International Yarn Bombing Day the Yarn Ninjas asked for Critters and everyone certainly delivered! We got some beautiful and unique creations to leave around Lenoir. Make sure you are on the lookout, and if you see one of the Critters take a picture and share it on Facebook using #ChixWithStix! Thanks everyone for your help with this creative project!
