Welcome to Chix with Stix,
Lenoir's resource for yarns, notions, hooks, and needles for local knitting, crochet and fiber artists since 2007.
We invite you to come explore one of the largest selections of yarn in the greater Lenoir, Hickory, Blowing Rock area. We carry wool, cotton, linen, silk, acrylic, as well as a variety of blends, and gifts. Additionally, we offer patterns, books, needles and hooks, knitting bags, a small selection of roving and felting supplies, beads, buttons and more. From simple to specialty, baby pastels to rich earthy jewel tones, we feature trusted quality brands in a broad range of colors and prices to meet the needs of any project you've imagined. There is some parking out front, but the majority of the parking is in the rear of the building.
I and patrons are always here to answer your questions and help with your project plans. If there is something you need that you don't see in our store, I will be happy to order it for you or help you locate a substitute. We offer beginning and intermediate knitting & crochet classes as well as specialty classes, even retreats, inspired by community interest and taught by knitters and fiber artists within our community.
Perhaps our most prized asset in our community is our friendly patrons that visit often and spend time around our table stitching and socializing. We have scheduled Sit and Stitch groups, Tuesdays at 1:00 and Thursdays 4:00 until 7:00. These free sessions are for anyone; we'd love to have you. These sessions are full of great stories and lots of laughter, and are a great opportunity to make new friends, explore, learn, relax and share. We love to work on projects together that support and enrich our beautiful city and the greater world. Aside from scheduled classes and sit and stitch groups, please feel free to come sit and craft with us any time you want; we'd love to have you join us in the store.

"When we moved to Lenoir in 2011, I immediately felt at home with the knit group and I've been coming weekly ever since. We love to help each other with advice and ideas, I've learned so much. I've attended other knit groups all over and have to say that this one is uniquely warm and welcoming. While the prices and selection are great, the people here make Chix with Stix a very special place. I feel both lucky and grateful!" ~Sam
