Fourteen years ago, Chix with Stix was started by Hazel Hayes in a very tiny space on Main Street in Lenoir. The store then moved to another small space on West Avenue, moved back to Main Street to a larger space, then to a spot in the Thrift Shopping Center, and now to 1340 Morganton Blvd.
On December 1, 2021, Hazel retired and I became the new owner. For at least 13 years, I have been a patron of the shop as well as teaching classes. I look forward to continuing the community that has been established
as well as getting to know the members and meeting new customers.

I moved to Lenoir in 2004 and have developed strong ties to the community by working in Caldwell and Burke County for 15 years in the Human Services field and I want to continue my love of people by making a difference. The shop is a great place for people to learn, grow and share. I am in the store daily to help you find the yarn and tools for your project.
