The ladies did great in the Magic Loop Mitten Workshop taught by Betty Shell. This method really is great when knitting a hat, gloves or sweater sleeve. Thanks Betty for teaching this. As you'll note in the pictures, the ladies untangled a ball of yarn for a fellow knitter. Knitters/crocheters are the best!!!
Ravelry 101 with Meghan Edmisten
We enjoyed having our students take the Ravelry workshop taught by Meghan.
Paint Your Own Tote with Sweet Momma's
Thank you to Sweet Momma's of Denver for teaching the Paint Your Own Tote class for us!! What a fantastic job they do! When you book a class with them they set up, teach each student while helping them customize their painting, and they even clean up everything afterwards! Our group really enjoyed their time. Everyone went home with a lovely, unique tote bag as well. The pictures don't do justice to the work they did. We look forward to having them come back again hopefully this fall. Make sure to pay attention to our newsletter and Facebook to see when we will host them again!
Souper Bowl Finish-a-thon!
We had a great time at the Souper Bowl party on Super Bowl Sunday. Lots of good soups and desserts, but most of all great fellowship with knitters and crocheters!! Thank you everyone for such a nice time.
Top Down Sweater Class with Betty Shell
Our sweater class met this past Saturday for their last session. Several of the sweaters are complete and the others are almost there. These ladies did and are doing a fantastic job on these. They are all each so different, yet are turning out so nicely. This project requires quite a bit of knitting, so they've worked hard to get these to where they are. Thanks to each of our students for participating and Betty for being such a wonderful teacher!
Rose Younce just finished teaching our first Swedish Weaving Class and it went very well! Everyone enjoyed the class, and had a cute pillow at the end of the class. Let us know if you want us to offer this class again!
2018 Annual Chixmas Party
We look forward to the Annual Chixmas Party every single year. It such a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with our amazing customers. Without them we would not be in business today. This year we had our biggest attendance yet, with 36 guests. Thankfully, we were in our new, much larger space and had plenty of room for everyone. We look forward to serving all your fiber needs in the new year! Merry Christmas from all of us at Chix with Stix.
Needle Felted Santa Workshop
This class was a great hit and each lady that participated made the cutest, most unique Santas! These ladies did an excellent job. Linda is a great teacher. She'll hopefully come up with another project for after the Holidays!
Beginning Crochet with Rose Younce
Our beginning crochet class ended last Saturday. In just a few more rows, everyone's scarves will be complete. Everyone has done such a great job. Their scarves are all very pretty and we appreciate them taking the class. We look forward to seeing them as they move on to new projects!
