Who among us hasn't fallen in love with the beauty and elegance of Downton Abbey? From February 5 thru May 25, 2015 Biltmore Estate is having the Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times Exhibition. More than 45 costumes from the popular PBS Masterpiece series will be on display. The costumes will be shown in groupings throughout the house which are inspired by the show as well as real life at Biltmore. The outfits will range from servants uniforms to the lavish evening gowns for the women of the house and depict world events from the sinking of the Titanic to the Jazz Age and the evolving roles of women & fashion.
Biltmore Estate does offer Group Discounts and we are trying to get a group together for a day trip to Asheville. If you are interested and we have enough people, I will plan an outing that suits the majority of the group. I will put a sign up sheet in the store. Keep in mind once we have chosen a date, we will need your payment in full prior to booking.
